Mott 32 maybe not for lovers of drawings or sculptures, but in this restaurant inside an old Bank vault, fans of architecture and interior design will find much to enjoy. The venue is home to strong Chinese decorations including a giant Abacus hanging over a long table, and a private dining room with a wall of Chinese calligraphy, contrasted with elements of Western architecture, such as the Mott filament bulbs. It is an interesting combination, so that in Singapore Inside Festival 2014, it was awarded the World Interior of the Year. There’s always outstanding cuisine – and the restaurant is renowned for serving Hong Kong’s finest cha siu.
